Henry Trumble is an Adelaide based photographer specialising in Still Life, Art & Artists, Portraits and Lifestyle.  Henry creates vibrant, living images for Art Galleries, Design Agencies and clients around Australia. Henry has lived and worked in London, New York and Berlin and is now based in Adelaide, South Australia. Henry holds a Bachelor of Visual Communications from The University of South Australia and completed the Photography Intensive at Columbia University in New York in 2013. He has since spent three years living and working in Berlin. He has completed projects for July, Gourmet Traveller, Qantas Magazine and Poh Ling Yeow’s latest cookbook.

Photography fills most of his waking moments. His process is his purpose as he works with traditional and contemporary methods. Henry's lens captures how he sees and what he finds with an eye for the absurdity in life. As a photographer, collaboration is one of his driving forces and he’s inspired by the dynamic nature of photography to simultaneously capture reality and turn it on its head. Henry Trumble has exhibited photography and other works widely including at Bus Project and Blindside in Melbourne, Australia. His project for Blindside, The Lunatic was about the images we construct and carry within us that create our perception of the universe. The exhibition presents a series of photographic objects, such as contact prints exposed by the light of the moon and the restaging of a chance encounter with a pool of planetary particles. Another project, Impossible Plants is a series of photographs about the tropical biospheres in and around Berlin, and the lengths that these immersive greenhouses go to cultivate exotic plants in displays of absurd mimicry and elaborate construction.

Henry is available for commissions in Adelaide or around Australia and works with a team of producers, assistants and stylists to produce high end imagery at any scale.. Please get in touch for a personalised folio of work or to discuss any project.
